Commit To Get Fit is committed to designing and implementing both programs and products which promote and enhance a more healthy active lifestyle for kids and their families. We do this by emphazising the importance of a multi-dimensional balanced wellness program which incorporates the physical, mental, emotional, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of life.

David Limpus

 

David created Commit To Get Fit fifteen years ago to focus on fitness, wellness and development for both facilities and programs.  After working as an athletic club owner and operator, Project Manager for the Fitness Channel with Turner Broadcasting and VP of Development for SlimFast Foods, David felt that his unique health and fitness background would help serve him in community wellness development with companies, employees, schools and students.

 

He created and launched a youth obesity clinic in Nashville with the help of Vanderbilt doctors and received a State of Tennessee Project Diabetes grant to implement his Commit To Get Fit youth fitness programs in schools, after-school programs, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs and the Girl Scouts.  This experience has helped in the development of a concept of highly-visible, community-based youth fitness programs sponsored by professional sport franchises to teach kids sport moves while exercising; and, at the same time utilizing medical technology and gamification to teach and motivate kids and their families to know their numbers and how best to make the healthy choices to live a healthy and joyful life.

William Elizuk, Ed.D

 

William is an innovator of cutting edge fitness and thoroughly understands the magnificent movement concepts and function of the body. Dr. B is a trainer, author, educator, infrared laser specialist, holistic health practitioner, 23 year educator and expert in the area of human performance and movement concepts.
 
William has served as an educator and professor at varied Universities/Colleges in the area of Exercise Science. He has created a new model and approach to exercise from youth to adult. His athletic model contains high performance training methods that can be adjusted to any age and ability.

 

William is an innovator of fun fitness strategies with absolutely great results emphasizing functional movement training, he has developed 16 sport related fitness performance DVD’s, won 4 National Awards, Created a fitness certification program for group fitness and recreational fitness leaders, worked with professional sport teams and grants, has been seen on TV and a frequent guest of radio, plus he is a fitness trainer, CEU provider, and provides live workshops for therapists and fitness professionals in the area of Motor Learning Skills, Exercise Science, Natural health and sport specific training.

William has personally dedicated his life to sports and fitness. For more than 30 years, he has trained and competed in various sports and competed at a masters level for running and triathlons. He believes an active healthy lifestyle is essential for optimum health and happiness for all ages. "In order to eliminate health risk factors, decrease obesity risks, and achieve optimum performance, wellness which includes a balanced diet, proper fluid intake, quality exercise and adequate amounts of recover, is fundamental."  It is Dr. B’s personal goal to remain up to date on current research, and continue as a role model and motivator for others.
